Summer Sails. Weekend Lovelies Favorite Things

:: Weekend Lovelies ::

Welcome to Memorial Weekend! Can you believe it is here already? We are excited to share some of our favorite summer finds in this edition of Weekend Lovelies. Do you have any fun plans this weekend? Maybe you have a barbeque to attend? This week we shared a couple easy and pleasing summer recipes. Need an easy dessert? Try our Chocolate S’mores Treat. Whip up a tasty appetizer with this recipe for Pan-Fried Onion Dip. Either way keep it simple and enjoy the start of summer time fun. Fingers crossed that it may be warm and sunny. Cheers!

  1. Table In A Bag is a must for the summer. We have used ours a ton over the years. Perfect for picnics and concerts in the park.
  2. Everyone needs a good hat especially to keep the sun off of your face. Loving this visor.  A must buy for summer walks.
  3. Remember playing with paper dolls as a kid? Why not print and play with these Frozen Paper Dolls.
  4. Cute and practical Athleta has amazing swim suits for all of your summer adventures.
  5. Father’s Day is only a couple weeks away.  This easy recipe plus Father’s Day Printables is a great way to celebrate DAD.
  6. Let’s cheers to this holiday weekend with some Red White and Blueberry Margaritas.
  7. You can’t have a party with cocktails without having these cute Rope and Neon Coasters to set your drink on.
  8. Obviously we love a good s’mores recipe but why not sandwich your campfire creation between two cookies? Yum!
  9. Not enough time to make an appetizer? Cheese is always a favorite.  The cutest local cheese shop.
  10. Spread The Love with with these knives at your next picnic.

Weekend Lovelies. A list of our favorite things. #weekendlovelies

:: Weekend Lovelies ::

Rise and shine! Welcome to this edition of Weekend Lovelies.  Yes I say rise and shine, as this picture literally is the sun rising on an early spring morning.  My kids are early risers, and though I am one too, I am never quite ready to rise early on the weekends.  This particular morning I was grumpy, when Mason made his way into my room.  He said mom, “I have to show you something”, thinking it was a recent Lego build, I slowly got out of bed and made my way towards him.  To my surprise this was my morning greeting.  “Isn’t this beautiful Mom?” This made my day. So for you parents out there, I do have say there are positives to these early mornings.  Seeing the sun rise just over the trees is not always going to be noticed in our lives.  It is a special treat, and one day we will be wishing and hoping for these early morning risers.  This weeks Weekend Lovelies is full of our favorites.  A little DIY to some spring fashion.  I am looking forward to having this week off for Spring break.  Though we don’t have huge plans, my family will be celebrating a few family birthdays…..two very special ones are sandwiched together in our week off.  I am excited to be celebrating Shane’s birthday, and Madeline’s 5th birthday!  Do you have any upcoming celebrations or spring plans?  [Read more…]

 San Clemente

:: Weekend Lovelies {favorite things} ::

Sara and I are trying our hardest not to brag, but this is California!  This is the weather we have been experiencing… crazy yet beautiful all wrapped into one.  For this edition of Weekend Lovelies {favorite things}, we hope that you, our readers, are experiencing weather you adore, as well! I actually took this picture on New Year’s Eve in San Clemente.  A peaceful day by the pier allowed us to keep perspective of our blessings going into the New Year.  I know for January, it often seems like a slow month, but this year, it seems to be speeding along.

We hope that you can take a moment this weekend and enjoy some of your blessings…. whether it be inside snuggling and keeping warm with the ones you love, or being out and about… enjoying the weather at hand.  But of course before you do all of that, take a moment to enjoy some of our favorite things!  Don’t forget if you are a blogger or Etsy Shop owner, you can link-up your favorite post of the week {or your fabulous Etsy Shop}.  The link information is at the bottom of the page.  Enjoy! {weekend} lovelies

January 12, 2013

It’s the weekend again, how did that happen?

This week has gone by quickly due to school being back in session.

That being said, I did not prepare for it.

Nope, not in a single way.

I was trying to enjoy the last few moments I had

with my family over the break.

Of course that was enjoyable,

but I am paying the price with my lack of organization

especially in the food department.

I usually love love creating ideas for meals

for the week ahead,

so this {weekend} lovelies is an ode

to meals I love and meals I look forward to making,

not to mention the gadgets that are on my wish list…..

click on the pictures below for the recipes.

Yummy Chicken Picata,

I am a pasta lover and this pasta dish is a perfect weekend meal.

You will WOW the ones you love with this homey feel good meal.

Set it and forget it……

The crock pot can be your best friend,

I am going to make it work for me this upcoming week.

Baby its cold outside……

I am craving this Lasagna soup at this very moment!

This light ooey gooey soup is one of those meals you

make and it tastes even better the next day.

Thank goodness for PINTERST!!!

Or there are recipes that you come across that

kick start healthy motivation…….

I have been making this breakfast for the past couple years.

It is filling and it inspires me to DO Good for the rest of the day.

Of course I was hoping that Santa might have dropped

by a few gadgets to help in my kitchen.

Oh a girl can wish……..

Dreams of fresh pasta….

Oh the pasta I could create with this gadget.

The January Inspiration 2013 Crate and Barrel catalog is full of

beautiful inspiration for the home.

It made me happy to see such beautiful things after the

spark of the holidays has come to an end.

The spark has been lit,

Now that I have been visually inspired by gadgets and

recipes that I have made and loved.

I will start next week with a plan.

Organize with a Printable Meal Planner

Now its off to the grocery store.

Keep it simple and Enjoy this {lovely} weekend!
