Light Fixtures

October 20, 2012

We have been in our house for almost two years.

Not long by any means, but from the moment we moved into our bank owned home,

I knew the light fixture in the kitchen had to go.

After move in costs, water damage in the summer that year,

a light fixture became the last on the to do or need list.

This past September my husband and I celebrated our 9th anniversary.

Like most anniversary’s my husband says “lets go away Nicole”, but for us that is nearly impossible.

I am very traditional in many ways

and I do look up each year the meaning of what the annual anniversary  is.

The 9th year is pottery and a willow tree.

Wow!

Just my luck….the light fixture I love at “Pottery Barn” is considered pottery right?

So here is my 9th anniversary love.

It glows in the morning and the evening, and I have loved every crystal on it.

I will post later about the willow, it lost in a battle with my husband but we did purchase 4 trees…..

Pumpkin Tres Leches Cake | Cookmee

October 19, 2012

Pumpkin Tres Leches Cake | Cookmee.

We love the Fall.

Here in Southern California we are thankful and praying for this weekend cool down.

Our favorite thing to do is bake.

We love baking and we love baking items that are Pumpkin related.

For now this post will show you what we have in store to create this weekend.

Sara and I are very hopeful that one of us will be able to create this recipe to perfection.

I myself have baked the Pioneer Woman’s Tres Leches cake over the summer,

but I hope this one can step up to the plate.

It should because it has the added edition of pumpkin!

Mind

October 19, 2012

On Tuesday I had to meet up with my client Dana Point Marina Inn.

Annually I take pictures of the hotel and its surrounding areas.

I love this time as I get a moment away from being Mommy and actually get to use my camera

and try to work on some of the skills from classes I have taken in the past.

I get to slow down and visually look at the beauty of this small town.

There are some amazing walking trails that have panoramic views of the Pacific.

I try to take this small amount of time,

when I am finished with taking photos,

to walk one of these trails and take the time to just “BE” in the moment and watch the fog roll out.

Here is what I got to view….pure beauty!

{xo, Nicole}
