Halloween Rice Krispie Treats
These Halloween Rice Krispie Treats are made even more delicious with the addition of Oreo's and colorful sprinkles! An instant kid favorite!
Author: Simply Happenstance
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 package marshmallows {10 ounces or about 40}
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 10 Oreos
- Halloween colored sprinkles
Coarsely crush 10 Oreos in a large zip block bag {using your hands, or a rolling pin}. Set aside.
In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated. Quickly add in crushed Oreos and a few good dashes of sprinkles {a couple tablespoons worth}. Stir until even distributed.
Using a buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press the mixture into a 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan, that has been coated with cooking spray. {I used coconut oil spray.} Cool. Cut into squares and serve!
{If desired, refrigerate until firm {about 45-60 minutes}, cut into rectangles and insert a paper straw into each.}
