Spring has sprung and it’s time once again for Weekend Lovelies.
Like most weeks, this one seemed awfully fast.
I was up with a coughing Madeline late one night.
After getting up with her, I could not go back to sleep right away.
Luckily for me it was meant to be, as Jimmy Fallon had Justin Timberlake
on his late night show.
They decided to perform a new rendition of their “History of Rap”
I loved this one, as it truly brought me back in time.
This summer I have an impeding get together with some high school friends.
In the spirit of this video, I thought I would take a little walk down memory lane.
Most of you reader’s know me as a mom, but before it all………
these favorites shaped me into the person I am today.
Maybe you might remember a few, I hope I am not dating myself……….
>>>History of Rap 4 // Jimmy Fallon<<<
I can watch that video 1,000 times.
I think that was the game and party sound track of high school and college.
Speaking of which,
I could not go without giving you a glimpse of my
high school wardrobe.
Dr. Marten’s
They are back in and I loved them!
I had high and low tops blue and black.
I pinned these a while ago on our
>>>{Shoes we Adore} // Pinterest<<<
by the comments on our board,
I should still ROCK a pair.
These shoes bring back great memories of what
we all thought were great clothes.
Baggy over sized jeans and non flattering flowy dresses worn with tights.
Of course you couldn’t forget your flannel.
One of my first concerts was seeing Pearl Jam in 1992.
It was incredible and with that I absolutely fell in love with this movie.
I still love its soundtrack and sometimes watch it when Shane is not home.
I know it by heart………….
Though the 90’s have been long gone.
They still have an impact on Fashion and Music today.
Here are some 90’s influenced items.
>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<
You can even find some 90’s era influence in kid’s shoes.
A great way to introduce part of your past with your kids
is to start them off young with music renditions of
your favorite bands.
I just know my kids love my favorite band {total wink}
>>>Fun Baby Music // Rockabye Baby! Music<<<
was just starting off when I had Mason and Madeline.
We owned the Bob Marley C.D. it was fun listening
to the instrumental music in the house and the car
with my babies.
But now their selection has grown quite a bit
ranging from Foo Fighters to Depeche Mode.
I know had this been around I could
have roped the kids into liking my music
rather than Kid’s Bop!
Maybe you remembered a little of your past……
Now go ahead and shuffle through some of your old music memories!
