Peach Mint Lemonade perfect for summer! Light and tangy.

:: Peach Mint Lemonade ::

School is out for SUMMER…well in two days for me! Sara and her family are OUT and enjoying life without early drop-offs and pick-ups! I can’t wait!! For now I will dream of long summer days sipping Peach Mint Lemonade under the shade of a tree on a hammock (okay well maybe just out back). Check out this tasty and refreshing recipe of our summer time favorite drink of Peach Mint Lemonade over at Simple As That where you can find us guest posting. While you are over there wishing for a glass of this lemonade right now, check out Rebecca’s lovely blog for summer activities and great recipes!  Let us know what your favorite summer drink is!

Cheers to summer with this light and tangy Peach Mint Lemonade.

Pumpkin Nutella Muffins

November 14, 2013

Pumpkin Nutella Muffins {Simply Happenstance}

 :: Pumpkin Nutella Muffins ::

Oh my goodness, you guys! This is the BEST muffin combination… pumpkin + Nutella! During this time of year, I typically make plain pumpkin muffins and occasionally add in chocolate chips… but let me tell you, swirling in a dollop of creamy Nutella made an incredibly decadent difference! The pumpkin is flavorful and moist, while the Nutella creates a rich, chewy, chocolatey muffin top!

I doubled the recipe below and it made 18 muffins and one loaf to give away to a neighbor. This is the perfect baked treat to give to friends and family! If preparing this recipe as a loaf for others… you may want to buy a few of these darling paper loaf pans from Sur la Table. Wrapped in cellophane and tied with a simple bow… it makes for the perfect hostess gift or sweet treat for neighbors for the holidays! Enjoy! [Read more…]

{weekend} lovelies

Chateau St. Jean

:: Weekend Lovelies ::

Welcome readers to our {weekend} lovelies!  Sara and I look forward to this segment, as it gives us a chance to catch up on the things we love in life, slow down a bit, and take a little time out for ourselves.

Last weekend, I was lucky enough to sneak away on a trip to Napa and Sonoma with my husband, Shane, for our 10-year wedding anniversary.  Not to brag… but it was truly amazing {hence the snap shot of Chateau St. Jean above}! Though not long enough, it gave me some time to think and actually take in and observe some of my favorite things {wine, food, music, and nature}.  It was our first trip in too many years to count, as like most of you, life moves forward too quickly to notice this thing called time. One year ends up turning into three…yikes! One of the things I learned on our trip was really how much I appreciate fall.  Though not terribly noticeable in Southern California {but we swear there are some seasonal changes}, the beauty of wine country really exudes the true meaning of fall and it’s “harvest.”

Thankfully, I captured a few pictures on our Simply Happenstance Instagram feed, as my new phone lost all of my pictures except the couple I uploaded.  Go ahead and check us out on Instagram! Sara and I love capturing our love of food and life over there, too!

With the inspiring weekend of food and wine still replaying in my mind, I can’t wait to share with you this {weekend} lovelies.  I hope you enjoy! [Read more…]

  • For rapid leg weight loss, a combination of intense cardio and targeted leg exercises is key. High-impact activities like running, cycling, or jumping rope burn calories and reduce overall body fat. Adding exercises like squats, lunges, and leg lifts tones and strengthens the leg muscles, giving them a more defined, lean look. Pairing these exercises with a healthy, balanced diet will accelerate the process. #RapidLegWeightLoss #SexyLegs #FitnessJourney #LegToning #FatBurning #StrongLegs #CardioForLegs #HealthyLifestyle #LegDayWorkout
