A couple of weeks before Christmas, I decided to make some homemade biscotti.
I’ve always loved the twice-baked cookie, so I thought I’d give it a whirl!
Let’s just say…. it didn’t work out so well!
They were dry, bland, and they completely crumbled when I tried to cut them
{thinking it’s best to stick with my favorite Trader Joe’s biscotti instead}!
I was snapping some photos of the baking process
{in hopes to share with our readers – – had they turned out to be delicious}
when my hand got hooked on the strap of my camera causing it to fall
straight onto my unforgiving tile floor…
shattering the lens {tears}!
Of course, it was my good camera… as luck would have it, right?!
So, I’ve been out of a camera for a few weeks now,
but I did get a small replacement from my Husby for Christmas this year
{to tie me over until I get my new lens}.
It has turned out to be my favorite accessory for my iphone…
so great, in fact, that I felt the need to share it with you all!
It’s called the
olloclip
It works on iphone 4, 4s and the iphone 5
{make sure to purchase the right one for your phone}.
Basically, it is a lens that fits effortlessly over your phone.
It has three lenses: the fisheye, the wide-angle, and the macro.
Have a peek at this short video to see how it all works:
While at a terrific park that Nicole had suggested to me {Dinosaur Park in Laguna Hills},
I was able to try out all three lenses.
Here are what the photos looked like using the fisheye:

{love their shadows over the bridge…}

{mr. amazing…. coming out of a tunnel}

{one of the only photos I captured of all four that day… that Seth (seen jumping) doesn’t like to be photographed!}

{can’t get enough of this little man…. can you tell??}

{an unsolicited sweet moment of three of them…. like I said, Seth is camera shy! he actually prefers to be behind the camera taking the pictures!}
Here are a few shots using the wide-angle lens {while using the hipstamatic app}:

Perhaps the coolest lens in my opinion… the macro {pretty amazing for capturing the details}:

{petals of a rose…}

{a single leaf…}

{my favorite… the inside of a rose}

I completely recommend the olloclip to anyone who has an iphone 4/5.
It has been really fun to you so far!
If you already have one, or happen to purchase one in the future…
we would love to hear what you think about it and even see your photos!
Happy Clicking!

Thanks for linking to my parks blog. Isn’t Dinosaur Park awesome? Your photos really capture the playful mood. I always hope moms are using my site to find new parks, but I don’t often get to the photos from a visit. What a gift! Keep having fun and playing often.
Thanks Michele again. We really appreciate it. I have a ton of Mission San Juan Capistrano pictures if you need any for your site. I would be happy to send them your way. Sara really enjoyed the park. I have been going for some time and it is still a real treat.
Sincerely,
Nicole

Sara- i love your pictures. I may need to invest in one of these for my iphone as well.
I was wonder, i notice you refer to your youngest son as Mr. Amazing, totally cute.. Is there a particular reason? Or too many to list?
Hi Jenna! Thank you so much for your kind words! You will love the olloclip if you decide to invest! It is so easy to use and definitely enhances your photos and videos! So… in regards to Mr. Amazing… you nailed it… honestly too many reasons to list. We always dreamed of having four children and have been completely blessed in having four healthy little ones. When pregnant with Finn {aka mr. amazing} we waited to find out what gender he was until Christmas day. I was about 7 months pregnant and while all of our family members were present, we had our oldest son {open the envelope} to reveal his gender. I was in complete shock that he was a BOY… I seriously thought I was having another girl {because surely God wasn’t going to give me three rowdy boys!! Plus it was more convenient to have two and two, right??}! It has become ever so clear, since his birth, that God had a plan… and that this sweet little man was always intended for our family. He completes us… and feels like he has always been a part of our family – – kind of tying us all together. All I can say is that our entire family is completely enamored with him! I guess that’s why I nicknamed him “Mr. Amazing.” He is just amazing…. as they all are, these sweet gifts from above… 😉 Thanks for your comment, Jenna! xo
Sara- That is beautiful! May God bless you and your beautiful family.
Thank you so much, Jenna! I appreciate your sweet comments! 🙂 xo, Sara
Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you. https://accounts.binance.com/en-IN/register?ref=UM6SMJM3
I don’t think the title of your article matches the content lol. Just kidding, mainly because I had some doubts after reading the article.
