- 5-6 juicy grapefruits-juiced
- 6 limes juiced
- 1-1 1/2 cups of silver tequila
- 1 cup of Trader Joe's margarita mix
- Kosher salt
- Agave syrup or stevia
- {For non alcoholic version}
- *all of the above minus the tequila plus....
- Sparkling lime water skinny version
- Sparkling lemonade love the trader joe's version
Juice limes and grapefruits and pour into a pitcher
Pour one cup of trader joe's margarita mix into the pitcher
Add in a packet of stevia and or a tablespoon of agave
Pour in one cup or 1 1/2 cups of tequila depending on the amount of juice you have.
Mix with a spoon.
{taste this part, add more sweetener if needed as grapefruits are tart}
Then rim a glass with salt and a cup 1/2 cup of crushed ice and enjoy!
{to make this skinny only put in 4 oz. of juice (with tequila in it already) + 4 oz. sparkling water}.
*FOR NON ALCOHOLIC VERSION*
Replace the tequila with 4-8 oz. of sparkling lime water or lemonade.
Easy swap outs make this recipe lighter or non alcoholic. I love making these all summer LONG. I prefer organic grapefruit and limes as they seem to contain more juice.
